At the Midwest 500, Reader's pushing hard in his 427 Wedge Ford against last year's champion Evil Ed Merfee, but as they approach the finish line, Merfee's dirty driving tactics send Reader spinning into the fence in a brutal crash. Recovering from cracked ribs and a sprained wrist, Reader gets a fresh Fairlane from his sponsor and sets his sights on payback at the Southern 600—this time with a strategy to turn Merfee's own aggression against him.

Flip Landis is a hard-nosed competitor on the oval circuit who's willing to push rivals to the edge—literally—to claim victory, but when his aggressive tactics in the final lap cause Jinx Alpert to crash, Flip finds himself cast as a villain by everyone around the track, including Jinx's sister Marie. In "Impossible To Win Part 2," Rick faces off against Amaro’s vintage '32 Gee Bee airplane in a high-stakes race that’s as much about honor as it is survival. With Juli’s future hanging in the balance, Rick pushes forward despite knowing he can’t win, only to see Amaro’s arrogance lead to his own downfall. As the dust settles, Rick must grapple with the aftermath, leaving the final goodbye to Kim.
