Great Comics #1

Great Comics #1 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. "Smile Events" presents humorous short vignettes including a sergeant declining show money to maintain amateur standing, a boy's stocking mishap, a chicken laying coal, and Detective Dugan traveling with his pet elephant who never forgets a face. Another story follows Toto on Mars, where the character is dazed by plunging into pie-crust batter and becomes involved in baseball games and adventures across the planet. The issue concludes with a tale of Al-O-Ysis, a superstitious character with magical gadgets, who helps a town plagued by an evil curse affecting their houses, girls, and a ring.
