When Tioga veers off course, he witnesses a brutal attack by a Crow war party on Straight Arrow and Bluecloud—only for Bluecloud to narrowly escape and warn Raven Feather of Straight Arrow’s capture. Raven Feather, seeing an opportunity to win Bluecloud’s affection, dismisses the threat, unaware that Tioga and Straight Arrow will soon break free with the help of their loyal companion Fury. The consequences of that decision soon come to bear.
