Green Lantern Corps #1
This collection kicks off the 2026 Green Lantern Corps series, following a new generation of Lanterns as they navigate a shifting cosmic landscape. The volume introduces fresh recruits and explores the evolving dynamics within the Corps after recent upheavals in the DC universe.
In "New World Rising," John, Shayera, Kilowog, and Razer face a deadly reckoning as the remnants of the Red Lanterns—driven by grief and rage—hunt for Nth Metal on the ruined world of Thanagar. But when the metal itself begins to stir, an ancient force awakens: Horus, the legendary Hawk-God, whose fury is only just beginning. Written by Morgan Hampton and Jeremy Adams, with dynamic art by Fernando Pasarin and inks by Oclair Albert and Jason Paz, this issue brings a thunderous new chapter to the Green Lantern Corps, with colors by Arif Prianto and Rain Beredo and letters by Dave Sharpe. The cover, penciled by Pasarin and inked by Albert, captures the moment the past rises to claim the future.
In "New World Rising," Jessica, now Captain of the Green Lantern Corps, sends John and Sinestro to Tamaran to quell a sudden surge of fear energy threatening the planet, as the Corps continues its fight against interstellar threats like Kanjar Ro’s trafficking ring. The story unfolds with high stakes and shifting alliances, setting the stage for a broader conflict that challenges the Corps’ resolve and unity.
In "Broken Wings," John, Kilowog, Razer, and Hawkwoman journey to the ruins of Thanagar, seeking answers for a people in ruin. There, they face the Red Lanterns, whose desperate mission centers on a massive cache of Nth Metal.
In "Ruff Ryders," John, Shayera, Kilowog, and Razer find themselves hunted by vengeful Red Lanterns desperate for Nth Metal to survive—only to awaken a far older fury. From within the ancient metal rises Horus, the legendary Hawk-God, whose wrath is as fierce as the storm gathering over Thanagar.
In "Ride Along," Simon and Ellie team up with Keli on a high-stakes hunt through the underworld for a new psionic battery to power her gauntlet, navigating shadowy dealers and hidden dangers. Meanwhile, Guy Gardner’s training of the new recruit Narf takes a sudden turn when Evil Star appears, testing their resolve in the heat of the moment.
In "Getaway!", Ellie races to save Simon and Keli from the crushing weight of their own memories, while Guy and Narf fight to escape Necrocopia Station and the looming threat of Evil Star—aided by the unpredictable Space Cabbie in a high-stakes bid for freedom.
In "Keep Your Head Up," Jo and Jessica face a daunting challenge as they try to assist the shattered Mogo, whose presence looms large in the aftermath of cosmic upheaval. Meanwhile, Sinestro and Vexar'u journey to New Korugar, only to find the planet transformed—its people thriving under the unexpected leadership of Sinson and Lor-Zod.
