In "Ohne Furcht," Green Lantern Jordan investigates a mysterious jet engine, only to find the military has already removed it. When the transport arrives at an air base, a damaged Manhunter escapes—and Jordan must face both the android and a newly arrived alien, also a Manhunter, whose arrival signals a deadly mission.

In "Verspäteter Start," Hal Jordan faces off against a new Manhunter whose design allows him to drain energy from the Green Lantern ring—turning the tide of battle until Jordan uses the Manhunter’s own battery to recharge. As the fight concludes, Jordan is reinstated into the Air Force, but the story ends on a chilling note: the Grandmaster, revealed with a group of captured Lanterns, holds those who fell to Hal during his time as Parallax.
