Grimm Fairy Tales: The Dream Eater Saga #1
In "Prelude," the first chapter of Grimm Fairy Tales: The Dream Eater Saga, Pan—once a timeless trickster—now stripped of his youth and stranded in a forgotten town, masquerades as a healer while secretly draining the life from its inhabitants to sustain himself. As Braden and Anna arrive to uncover the town’s dark secret, Anna uncovers the truth and confronts Pan, only to send him fleeing through a portal to the Dream Eater. Written by Raven Gregory, Joe Brusha, and Ralph Tedesco, with art by Roberto Viacava and Tomas Aira, and colored by Roland Pilcz, this issue blends eerie folklore with a chilling psychological twist. The cover, by Eric Basaldua, captures the unsettling stillness of a town on the brink.

Pan, stripped of his youth and sent back in time, pretends to be a doctor in a small town. But he is actually using his powers to preserve his life by killing the townsfolk. Braden and Anna enter the town to investigate, but Braden soon comes down with the 'sickness'. Anna discovers that the doctor is behind the deaths and the doctor reveals himself as Pan. When he tries to drain her power, she sends him through a portal to the Dream Eater. But Pan retains enough of Anna's power to convince the Dream Eater that he can help him.
