“Helljumper Part 2”

In "Helljumper Part 2," the elite 105th Division of the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers lands on the eerily silent colony planet Ariel, drawn by a distress signal that leads to a ghost town of over four thousand souls—abandoned, empty, and strangely still. As the Helljumpers probe the ruins, the tension mounts beneath the surface, and the bond between squadmates Romeo and Dutch is tested when they find themselves caught in something far deeper than a simple mission gone wrong. Written by Peter David and illustrated by Eric Nguyen—with full art and inks by Nguyen, colors by Nguyen, and letters by Nate Piekos—this 2009 Marvel issue delivers a tense, atmospheric descent into the unknown, with a cover by Nguyen that captures the weight of the planet’s hidden dread.

Answering a strange distress signal from the colony planet Ariel, the "Helljumpers" - the elite 105th Division of the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers - knew they were jumping into a dangerous situation. Upon arrival, the settlement of over four thousand people appeared to be nothing more than an abandoned shell of its former self, without a soul in sight... At least on the surface. Something's lurking deep beneath the ground of Ariel, and it would be just like best friends and squadmates Romeo and Dutch to get stuck right in the middle of it.
