Happy Jack #2 is an anthology comic featuring multiple stories and activities. "Big Jon and Sparkie" follows the two characters as they attempt to solve the problem of birds living in a birdhouse by using balloons to lift the entire house into the sky. "The Wild Blue Yonders" depicts two cadet-pilots named Taylor and Popoff who are unexpectedly called to prepare for a secret military training mission to infiltrate an enemy field headquarters located two hundred miles away. The issue also includes an "Animated Movies Presents" segment featuring Chimp and Chump in "Atchoo!," a story about one chimp meeting another at a brook, as well as a "Draw Me!" instructional feature teaching readers how to draw Sparkie step-by-step.
