In "To the Rescue!" from Harvey Hits #23 (1959), Casper and Nightmare keep an eye on Wendy after the Witch Widow moves in to modernize her home—only to find the new appliances are more trouble than help. When the Witch Sisters storm in, furious over the chaos, the Widow storms out, heartbroken. Casper returns to offer a different kind of help, and as the two share a quiet moment, both blush—proving some things are better left old-fashioned.
In "So Sorry," Casper finds himself unexpectedly striped after the Ghostly Trio’s prank, prompting Wendy to help scrub the marks off. When Casper wishes the trio would be sorry for their own good, Wendy hands them Sorry pills—only to unleash a flood of weeping apologies and overzealous self-painting. Soon, the tables turn, and it’s Wendy and Casper running for safety as the remorseful ghosts turn on them.
In "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," Spooky, ever the mischief-maker, sneaks into a wizard’s tower to stir up trouble with a mix of magical formulas—sandy water, an exploding concoction, and a potion that reverts gold to brick. When the wizard gives chase, chaos erupts as potions spill, transforming stones into jewels. Spooky makes a getaway with a diamond tucked under his hat, whispering, “Diamonds are a ‘ghoul’s’ best friend!”
