“An Off-Color Heir”

In "An Off-Color Heir," a haunting tale from Haunt of Fear #21 (1953), Laura’s life takes a chilling turn as memories of her past collide with unsettling secrets in her husband’s Louisiana plantation home. Written by Bill Gaines and Albert B. Feldstein, with stark, unforgettable art by Graham Ingels—both in story and on the cover—this story unfolds with a creeping dread, anchored in a single, disturbing discovery: a bottle of black ink, a locked room, and a husband whose beard has turned an unnatural blue.
