One story follows a young woman named Lucille Garrett whose father is killed in a car accident while fleeing with a mysterious companion; weeks later, Lucille encounters her father's killer and discovers he has been cursed to wander, unable to find peace. Another narrative involves a wartime scenario where a radioactive monster terrorizes a town until it is destroyed by bombing, allowing the survivors to rebuild their lives. A third tale set in wartime involves espionage and intrigue aboard a ship, with a woman receiving secret communications and messages related to a military mission involving baronial forces and abandoned hope.
When a coal mine reopens after years of abandonment, a young couple and their supervisor descend into the dark tunnels, only to encounter a terrifying, otherworldly creature that has emerged from the earth’s depths. As the group is hunted through the labyrinthine passages, they must fight to survive and uncover the truth behind the monster’s origin. With the mine collapsing around them and no clear way out, they face a desperate race against time and an unknown horror that refuses to die.
"Blood of the Rose" follows Dr. Grimm as he investigates a frantic call from Mr. Hilt, an eccentric recluse who claims to be threatened by a ghost. Hilt reveals he’s been nurturing a mysterious black rose that’s due to bloom under a full moon, and as the night unfolds, strange occurrences—including a bloodstain on the greenhouse floor and a missing dagger—suggest the ghost of a woman he wronged may be seeking vengeance.
A young woman named Lucille Garrett is left alone in a remote Texas cabin after her father, Dillard Garrett, departs with his companion, Clint Palmer. When she discovers the gun she was told was in the drawer is missing, she begins to fear for her father’s safety—only to later learn he has vanished without a trace. Months later, a skeleton found in a nearby cave is identified through physical clues, leading authorities to suspect a murder and triggering a search that ultimately connects back to Lucille and the man she thought was her father’s friend.
In a Washington mansion, a thief schemes to replace the real Magna Carta with a forgery, setting off a chain of events that awakens the ghostly Sir John, the ancient king condemned to guard freedom. As the forged document is smuggled aboard a ship bound for London, Sir John’s spectral presence takes control of a living man to protect the true charter, leading to a tense cat-and-mouse game at sea.
