Steven has been captured by the combine and they get ready to reclaim the Haywire armor and the brain implant Steven uses to summon it. Of course, Steven will be killed in the process, but that's not really a concern. One problem: the head of the combine is revealed to be Steven's father, who faked his death fourteen years previously. Anyhow, before the surgery can begin, Steven awakes and transforms into Haywire and, after causing much death and destruction, flies away. Meanwhile, the combine's Japanese allies are sick of waiting for the armor and decide to take matters into their own hands.
