Madge loves Steve but he says they won’t be able to marry for at least a year, until he earns a decent living. Madge begins to date Jon, who owns the beauty salon where she works, but he admits he’s married and a father. Madge urges him to get a divorce and marry her. When Steve finds out, he confronts Jon and says Madge is “a sick girl” who doesn’t care who she marries “as long as it’s soon!” Jon returns to his family and Steve gives Madge the brush-off.
