"My Past Came Between Us" depicts a woman named Susan whose troubled past resurfaces when an old friend arrives, threatening her relationship with her fiancé Ralph. After initially doubting her love, Ralph becomes convinced of Susan's devotion, but her past continues to complicate matters until she is ultimately forced to choose between her future with Ralph and the ghost of her history. A second story, "Wait for Me, Darling," follows Betty, who is engaged to Rush but struggles with sacrifice when he asks her to wait while he pursues a job opportunity near a clinic in St. Louis, ultimately reconciling through letters and faith in their love.
