Kathy teaches at the state agricultural college. She turns down the advances of Blakesly, but finds herself attracted to Ned, a farmer who won a special scholarship to the school. Ned and Kathy fall in love. Blakesly catches them and the dean says either Kathy or Ned must leave. Ned departs, but when he later discovers the cure for a crop blight, he says Kathy’s influence was vital to his success. Ned returns to the college and punches Blakesly, then reunites with Kathy.
