Heroic Tales #4
In "Not Without Dust and Heat - Part One (of Two)," Faith—still stranded after her ship’s repairs in the American Southwest—takes a job at a construction site, using her strength and size to help where she can. Living with the Cameron family, whose patriarch works for the Border Patrol, she finds herself caught in a moment of truth when her honesty about being an alien is met with a literal interpretation of duty. Written by Bill Williams and illustrated by Robb Phipps, this issue sets a quiet but charged tone as personal identity collides with institutional obligation, with the cover by Robb Phipps and Bill Williams capturing the weight of that first, irreversible moment.
