Hexagon Bridge continues its quietly unsettling run with issue three, "The Departure," as Richard Blake's cover presents a masked, pale-faced figure standing amid a dense tangle of salvaged equipment — barbed wire, crates, satellite dishes, and a rifle slung across the pile — all rendered against an open, hazy sky. Blake's painterly linework gives the whole image a worn, lived-in tension that feels both sci-fi and deeply human. This Image series is shaping up to be one of 2023's more thoughtfully crafted independent titles.
