From the creative duo Clarke & Midam comes this delightfully offbeat entry in the Histoires à lunettes series — Bienvenue dans la 4e dioptrie. The cover sets a perfectly eerie mood: two goggle-eyed, silhouetted figures in aprons stand beneath a dramatic overhead lamp, a camera on a tripod before them and what appears to be a surgical saw nearby, bathing the whole scene in moody teal and violet. Published by Dupuis in 2009, it's a wonderfully strange invitation into whatever peculiar world these bespectacled oddballs inhabit.
