Santa’s cold worsens as he insists on treating it with candy canes instead of medicine, much to the concern of a young girl who’s been secretly pouring his medicine into the treats. As Christmas Day arrives, the Tallar family struggles through the snow to deliver gifts, and Santa must help them find their way despite his worsening condition.

Santa considers which reindeer to pull his sleigh by testing their jumping ability, but little Rufus, a small creature hoping to help, is initially deemed too small. After a surprising leap, Rufus impresses Santa, leaving his potential role in the sleigh ride uncertain.

A young boy and his brother play a prank by covering a snowman with snow and pretending it can talk, trying to fool their little brother Billy. When the snowman unexpectedly speaks and moves, Billy is stunned—proving that even snowmen might have a surprise or two up their sleeves.

A young boy named Jo-Jo begs Santa to let him ride along on his sleigh, desperate to see children’s reactions to their gifts, but Santa insists there’s no room. Just as Santa prepares to leave, Jo-Jo secretly stows away, and Santa only discovers his stowaway when he notices the sack is heavier than usual.

Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly businessman, dismisses his kind-hearted clerk Bob Cratchit’s request for extra pay to buy gifts for his children, especially his sick son, Tiny Tim. That night, after refusing to celebrate Christmas, Scrooge is visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past, who shows him painful memories of his lonely childhood and the choices that shaped his cold heart.

Santa Claus tries to slide down a chimney but gets stuck, prompting a young girl to suggest using soap to help him slide. After a comical struggle, Santa jokes that he’s just too jolly to fit through chimneys, much to the delight of the children watching.
