This 2007 Seven Seas Entertainment release opens with a charming and slightly chaotic cover scene: a bright-eyed girl with wild orange hair and dramatic rabbit-like ears charges forward in her school uniform, clutching a small green creature while a purple monster and a large greenish beast loom behind her in what looks like a curious, steampunk-tinged corridor. It's a wonderfully energetic introduction to what promises to be a delightfully offbeat school adventure with a cast of creatures that are equal parts strange and endearing.
