Hospital Nurse Picture Library #16
"Kiss and Remember" is a quietly poignant slice of life from Hospital Nurse Picture Library #16 (1964), a 60-cent comic where the familiar rhythms of hospital life take an unexpected turn. Sally, a nurse constantly under Sister Parkes’ sharp eye, finds herself caught between duty and a surprising personal revelation when a new doctor’s attention leads her to uncover a long-buried connection—only to discover the truth lies closer than she thought. With a story told through crisp, period-accurate typeset lettering and a cover that captures the tension of a moment just before change, this issue lingers in the quiet spaces between glances and unspoken words.

Like the other members of the staff, Sally is frequently scolded by Sister Parkes. Meanwhile, the new doctor takes an interest in Sally, but she discovers that it is only because she resembles an old flame. After talking to the kitchen cook, who had known both years earlier at a different hospital, Sally realizes the old flame is Sister Parkes and she attempts to arrange for the two of them to 'accidentally' meet each other, but fails miserably.
