Vetenskapsmännen bakom Kupolen ber Dr Strange om hjälp med ett experiment. Tidigare hade de skapat en artificiell människa (Adam Warlock) som de hävdar löpte amok och försökte döda dem. Nu behöver de Stranges hjälp för att detta inte ska upprepas. I hemlighet har dock den misstänksamme Strange kallat till sig Hulk, som kommer i tid för att rädda Strange när Kupolens vetenskapsmän just beordrat den nykläckte varelsen Paragon att döda doktorn. Paragon inser att han använts till onda ändamål och återvänder till sin kokong. Kupolens vetenskapsmän tycks dö när deras bas rasar samman medan Hulk och Dr Strange klarar sig oskadda.
