Hunk and his friend Cecil stumble upon a sleeping giant in a cave while hunting to prove they're "mature" enough to see a grown-up walkie show, and must race through their prehistoric village trying to convince skeptical adults of the threat before it's too late. With Columbus dismissing them as liars, a general too paranoid to listen, and a language-speaking eccentric who can't quite communicate, the two young hunters discover that sometimes the biggest challenge isn't the monster—it's getting anyone to believe you in the first place.

A young girl named Lotty is absolutely determined to have a baby elephant—no toy, no substitute will do—and her exasperated parents try everything to distract her from the dream. When her father gets her on a television quiz show hoping a new goal will take her mind off pachyderms, Lotty's clever answer wins the grand prize, and the joke lands perfectly when she discovers exactly what that prize is. There are some desires, her father learns, that you simply can't fight.
