Kyle Starks, Artyom Topilin, and Lee Loughridge's rural horror series delivers another unsettling tableau in issue #9, with a forest ablaze in fiery oranges and deep blues as a heavily armored figure clutches a weapon and faces down a massive, antlered beast covered in shaggy fur with glowing yellow eyes. Lurking in the background are additional eerie figures — a hulking silhouette in the trees and a suited, masked figure carrying a lantern — suggesting the nightmare just keeps multiplying. Topilin's dense linework and Loughridge's scorched color palette make this one of the more atmospheric covers in the series so far.
