Debbie Mays is the private secretary for Amos Granton, owner of the Granton Steel Company. When the boss's son, Clark, takes an interest in Debbie, he asks her out on his private boat despite the warnings of his captain, Jim Carter, about the weather. When a typhoon hits, they are shipwrecked together, along with the captain's sister, on a little island.
