Inferno: Hellbound #1
Inferno: Hellbound #1 (2002) opens with a gateway to Hell tearing open—its key lost inside, sealing the rift shut. When military operatives fail to cross, it becomes clear only those already marked by damnation can survive the passage. With no other choice, the army recruits a squad of hardened criminals, sending them into the abyss with one mission: retrieve the key before Hell consumes everything. Written by Marc Silvestri and David Wohl, with art by Silvestri, Martin Montiel, and Talent Caldwell, and cover by Marc Silvestri and Matt Banning, this 2.50 USD comic from 2002 sets a pulse-pounding tone from the first page.
