This collection kicks off the 2007 relaunch of Iron Man's ongoing series, following Tony Stark as he takes on the role of director of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the wake of the superhero Civil War. Written by the Knaufs (Daniel and Charles) with art by Patrick Zircher, the storyline sees Stark balancing his new global security responsibilities with his high-tech armor adventures, while dealing with the fallout of his controversial pro-registration stance. It collects the first arc of the series, including issues #1-6 of Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
