Scott and Barda begin this story attempting yet another super escape when Shilo and Oberon are kidnapped and Mister Miracle and Big Barda are attacked by Virman Vundabar. Mister Miracle and Big Barda escape Vundabar's attack and confront him directly only to be rendered helpless by Granny Goodness and Kanto's gravity beam. With the assistance of Orion and Lightray, Mister Miracle and his friends escape another deadly trap. Afterwards, Highfather descends the battlefield to marry Scott and Barda despite the appearance of Darkseid.
