A youthful yodler, who sells weather by the yard from a freshly painted mountain, is visited by a three-and-a-half peck bushelman and a young idea, who seek a furnished meal without rooms. When the yodler instead offers them yards of rainy weather, a series of surreal events unfolds as the young idea grows, the bushelman vanishes, and the yodler sets off on a whimsical journey to find a mysterious zig-zag zither, encountering strange figures, odd weather, and a world where logic is as flexible as a musical instrument.

Columbus, ever the diplomat, asks Tommy to deliver his regards to Queen Elizabeth, setting off a chain of hilariously anachronistic adventures in Europe, where Tommy teams up with unlikely allies to take on the formidable Hitlerat and his cronies.
