JLA: Classified #2

Feb 2005 · DC · 2.95 USD; 4.50 CAD
“Master of Light”

"Master of Light" delivers a tense, high-stakes chapter in the JLA: Classified saga, as Batman and the mysterious Squire race against time on Pluto to rally the League, while Grodd’s sinister plan unfolds with the captured Ultramarines now twisted into weapons. Grant Morrison’s sharp storytelling, brought to life by Ed McGuinness’s dynamic art and Dexter Vines’ precise inks, pushes the heroes to their limits in a story where even the robotic Justice League may not be enough to stop the coming storm.

As the JLA track down the Black Death in the infant universe, Batman and Squire journey to a JLA station on Pluto, where she contacts the JLA to come back. Meanwhile, Grodd finishes capturing the Ultramarines and takes them over to use as terrorist weapons. To buy some time, Batman activates the robot Justice League, but it doesn’t stop Grodd or Neh-Buh-Loh.
