JLA: Incarnations #2
In "Belonging," Batman steps into the spotlight not as a lone wolf, but as a reluctant ally to the JLA—first aiding them in a crisis that tests his usual methods, then again in a moment that challenges his isolation. Written by John Ostrander and illustrated by Val Semeiks, with inks by Prentis Rollins and colors by John Kalisz and Heroic Age, the story captures a rare moment of connection for the Dark Knight. After years of operating apart, he’s offered a place among the League—and for the first time, he considers what it means to truly belong. The cover, by Val Semeiks and Prentis Rollins, reflects that quiet shift in his stance.

Batman helps the League on two separate occasions, both times working well with the group despite the fact that he "doesn't play well with others." Following the second adventure, he is asked to join the League, which he accepts with conditions. And, after a long time alone, Batman finds a kind of family he belongs with.
