“With a bullet that was meant for me!”

In "With a bullet that was meant for me!", Joe Palooka’s world takes a wild turn when Dusty is flung 500 years into the future, landing in the futuristic City of Peace—where atomic power fuels a society of long-lived citizens who work just one hour a day. There, historian Atoma reveals a world of advanced comfort and peace, yet one where only soldiers enjoy true freedom, and the Governor’s rule echoes the tyranny Dusty knows all too well. Written, drawn, and inked by Bob Powell, with a striking cover by Ham Fisher, this 1947 Harvey Comics gem blends pulp adventure with a surprisingly prescient look at utopia’s hidden costs.
