In "Flash Flood," John Wayne and a woman seek refuge from a bursting dam during a catastrophic flood, narrowly escaping the rising waters by truck. Wayne heroically works to restore power to the area before the floodwaters cause further devastation. The issue also includes "Cochise' Apache Chief," which recounts how Cochise, an Apache leader in Arizona's Dragon Mountains, was wrongfully accused of a ranch raid and subsequently declared war on white settlers, engaging in twelve years of violent raids and warfare that could not be stopped until his stronghold was breached.
