John Wayne is marooned in a blizzard in the Rocky Mountains with a group of stranded travelers, including Mrs. Carruthers and her son Jimmy. While waiting for rescue and rationing fuel and food, Wayne must contend with a con man who attempts to manipulate the group through trickery and deceit, leading to a confrontation over a bull ring at a nearby arena. Wayne ultimately outwits the schemer and saves the day, allowing the group to escape their predicament.
