"The Stolen Corpse" begins at a college faculty club where Professor Temple recounts a strange tale about a man named Larry Temple who desired a beautiful woman but whose fate led to a gruesome discovery involving the dead and a hunchback. Death by Invitation
7 pp · Horror-Suspense

John Markson receives a death sentence from his doctor—three months to live—and the diagnosis twists his mind into darkness. Consumed by rage that criminals walk free while he's condemned, Markson reinvents himself as "Mr. Death," sending sinister invitations to those he deems deserving of punishment and carrying out his own twisted justice. As bodies pile up and the real law scrambles to find answers, Markson savors his grim work, wondering how many more executions his failing heart will allow him to complete.

Demons of the Deep
8 pp · Horror-Suspense

A lighthouse keeper's desperate plea for companionship draws an impossible answer when a mysterious woman arrives at his isolated post on a stormy night—but Seth Powers soon discovers his mysterious visitor is far more than human. As she reveals her true nature and sinister intentions, he finds himself trapped between the crashing waves and something far more terrible rising from the depths.

The Stolen Corpse
9 pp · Horror-Suspense

A brilliant but grotesque professor obsessed with a woman who rejects him gets a twisted second chance when she dies—he steals her corpse and uses his mastery of robotics to transform her into an artificial being he can control. But as Temple settles into his macabre new life with his robot bride, something unexpected begins to stir in the electronic mind he designed for her, threatening to upend his carefully constructed revenge. This is a darkly inventive tale of obsession, rejection, and the dangerous hubris of playing god with another's existence.

The Monster's Revenge
6 pp · Horror-Suspense

Dorene Christy, a fearless big-game hunter, ventures deep into the jungle pursuing increasingly dangerous prey—only to discover that the superstitious natives' warnings about shape-shifting creatures may hold more truth than she's willing to believe. Pursued by something that hunts her with purpose, Dorene flees back to New York, convinced she's left the horrors of the wild behind, but the jungle has followed her home with a debt to collect.
