Journey into Fear #21 is an anthology of four horror tales. "Grim Revenge" follows mortician Roger Torrance, who receives a mysterious call about a body at a funeral home, only to discover strange supernatural occurrences surrounding the death. "Payoff for Evil" tells of an inherently evil man named Amos Hatter who, upon fathering twin boys, discovers that one twin has inherited his malevolent nature and commits murder. "Curse of the Castle" features cousins Kathy and Dennis Moore who venture to an old, haunted castle on the moors seeking a legendary treasure, unaware of the horror and monster that lurks within its walls. The issue also includes the story "Horror in the Clock," though only its cover reference is visible in these pages.
