“If This Be the End”

In "If This Be the End," Jubilee finds herself caught between past and present when Wolverine drops by unannounced, only to interrupt a quiet moment with Shane. Suddenly, the peace shatters as Brad and Hope return with Triad enforcers, forcing Jubilee to confront the truth about her aunt’s secret past as a Triad assassin—and the dangerous legacy she’s been running from. Written by Robert Kirkman and illustrated by Casey Jones, this emotionally charged issue blends personal stakes with high-octane tension, all under Jones’s sharp pencils and inks, with a cover by Casey Jones that captures the moment’s intensity.

Wolverine has stopped by for a surprise visit just as Jubilee and Shane are cozying up on the couch. Their awkward situation turns dangerous as Brad and Hope arrive home with a gang of Triad goons gunning for them. Jubilee learns that her aunt was a Triad assassin who left her job to raise her niece. Unfortunately, her boss didn't accept her resignation and is trying to either get her back or kill her. Hope agrees to return to the Triad but blows up her house to take them all out. With her home gone and her aunt believed to be dead, Jubilee decides to return to the X-Men with Wolverine.
