Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death #[nn]
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis collection from DC brings together the Judge Dredd storyline pitting the iconic lawman of Mega-City One against the undead menace of Judge Death and his Dark Judges. It adapts the narrative that also inspired the 2003 first-person shooter video game of the same name, featuring Dredd's relentless pursuit of justice against a supernatural foe. The volume compiles issues from the 2000 AD comic series, showcasing the grim, satirical tone of the character's world.
In "Judge Death, Part 1," the city of Luna-1 is plunged into chaos when the Tranq Gas gang disables the air system, knocking out its citizens and unleashing a wave of crime. With 53,000 lives lost, justice takes a grim turn as the Oxygen Board enforces a cold reckoning—cutting off air to the gang’s hideout for unpaid bills, leaving them to suffocate atop their stolen goods. Written by John Howard and illustrated with striking precision by Brian Bolland—whose cover pencils and inks bring the issue’s grim tone to life—this 2005 DC release marks a chilling escalation in the ongoing war between law and anarchy on the moon.
