When a rival music company signs the lead singer of the Lone Stars, the Wild Music Company holds auditions to find a replacement. Meanwhile, Dave is hired to work on some electrical equipment. He sings as he works while the recording equipment is running. When John later hears Dave's voice played back on the recording, he realizes he has found his new singing star. He tells Rose to find him and bring him back.
