☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeJungle Jo battles a white spirit in a mountainous region, fighting off attacking birds and natives on a high ledge while trying to rescue a companion named Lura who is caught in a whirlpool caused by a black-hearted monster in an underground cavern. Jo descends into a lost world filled with dangerous creatures, including giant serpents and lizard-like beings, engaging in combat to save Lura from the supernatural forces threatening her life.
When sickness strikes a native village and desperate people turn to an ancient tradition of human sacrifice to appease a volcanic god, Jungle Jo finds himself caught between the tribe's deadly faith and outsiders with their own sinister plans. As a scheme to exploit the chaos unfolds on the mountain's slopes, Jo must fight through betrayal, wild beasts, and impossible odds to save his mate and stop the bloodshed before the volcano's "death song" claims more victims.
Meet the tarsier, a pint-sized predator native to the Philippine jungles that weighs just three ounces but packs the ferocity of a savage carnivore. This tiny hunter waits out the day and strikes at night from the treetops, using its enormous eyes, prehensile toes, and kangaroo-like leaps to ambush lizards and insects with surprising lethality. It's a good thing nature kept this fierce little mammal so small—otherwise it might be far more dangerous than it already is.
When a mysterious "White Spirit" begins demanding tributes of gold from the Tangane tribe, Jungle Jo discovers the supernatural visitation is anything but divine—it's a sinister human scheme orchestrated by an unscrupulous doctor and his accomplice. As Jo works to expose the fraud and protect his people, the doctor captures his mate Lura and uses her as a hostage, forcing Jo into a deadly game where he must outwit his enemies while fighting the very drug coursing through his own veins.
Jungle Jo pursues a fearsome water demon into the mysterious caverns beneath the jungle, where he discovers an ancient underground civilization sustained by a miraculous fountain of youth. When his mate Lura is captured and transformed by the enchanted waters, Jo must battle both the monstrous guardian and the ageless inhabitants to save her and reclaim what he's lost. It's a wild descent into a lost world where immortality comes at a price, and only cunning and courage can prevail against creatures that have ruled unopposed for millennia.
