This is an anthology issue containing at least two stories. "Congo King" follows Jo-Jo, a jungle leader whose rival Banto attempts to manipulate an election through fraud and a paid traitor, but Jo-Jo returns in time to expose the plot and maintain his leadership. "Otombo to the Rescue!" tells of Jim Patterson, a wildlife photographer in Central Africa who rescues a monkey from a tiger attack; the grateful village chief gifts him the intelligent monkey Otombo, who becomes his loyal companion and uses his keen sense of smell to detect poisoned food as Jim travels through dangerous gorilla country to photograph wild animals for an American magazine.
