Junie and her friends are determined to catch a glimpse of the famous crooner Andy Brusssel when he arrives on the 4 p.m. train, convinced they’ll be able to spend time with him before he’s swarmed by fans. When they discover he’s disguised as a professor and boarding a train with their rival, the dramatic Drucilla Dare, the girls plot to sneak aboard—only to face a series of misadventures, including a narrow escape from the train’s window and a frantic chase through the countryside.

Junie rushes to the pin-up dance, determined to catch the elusive Butch Mahoney—despite his reputation for hating girls—after her friend mocks her for not having a date. When Butch accidentally trips over her discarded toys and tears his pants, Junie seizes the chance to pin her class pin on him, turning an awkward moment into her unexpected victory.

Dexter nervously joins Jill and her father at the neighborhood hayride, where his clumsy attempts to fit in only escalate the chaos. As a series of mishaps unfold—from mistaken identities to a panicked dash from a "dangerous bull"—Dexter finds himself in one absurd scrape after another, all while trying to avoid Jill’s father’s wrath.
