John Tensen goes on a killing spree against a series of paranormal criminals, earning the name, the Justice Killer, by the media. Miriam Morse, aka Playback, a paranormal helping with the investigations, is attacked by a criminal she previously helped put in prison. Justice kills the attacker and gives Playback a warning to not abuse her powers. A composite sketch of the Justice Killer is shown on the news revealing Tensen's current existence to his daughter, Angela.
