Justice #3
In "Out By Exit 14," Becky Chambers and Hoyt Pittman reunite with Tensen and Arnie at a roadside diner in Oklahoma, setting the stage for an uneasy alliance. As tensions rise and old loyalties are tested, the group prepares to confront Damon Conquest—only for a sudden ambush by Tattoo, an assassin sent by "Dad," to leave Pittman dead and Justice’s right hand destroyed. Written by Steve Englehart and illustrated by Geof Isherwood, with inks by Vince Colletta and colors by Bob Sharen and George Roussos, this pivotal issue delivers sharp character dynamics and escalating stakes. The cover by Javier Saltares and José Marzán Jr. captures the moment’s intensity, a striking visual for a 75-cent comic from 1987.
