“The Big Good Bye”

In "The Big Good Bye," the fate of the Forsaken hangs in the balance as Impact detonates the N.S.C. headquarters on Judge Mental’s command. Captain Brooklyn fights back against the Forsaken only to fall at the hands of Seraph, but Justice arrives in Coney Island to turn the tide—ending Judge Mental’s reign and rescuing Chauncy, Rudy, and Miriam. With Seraph defeated and the dust settling, Justice, now known as Tensen, takes on a new role as leader of the Forsaken, choosing to remain at Coney Island with Angela and Victor. Written by Peter David and illustrated by Alan Kupperberg, with inks by Mike Gustovich, Don Hudson, Chris Ivy, and Kupperberg himself, and lettered by Rick Parker, this pivotal issue features a cover by Lee Weeks.
