Justice League #3
This volume collects issues #13-18 of the Justice League series from DC's Rebirth era, following the team as they confront a mysterious threat tied to the timestream. The story, written by Robert Venditti and illustrated by various artists, sees the League dealing with the fallout of their previous adventures while facing a new enemy that manipulates time itself.
In "Regroup," the Justice League fractures under the weight of temporal chaos as Batman and Jane infiltrate Tempus' virtual mind, severing his link to the Timeless. With the time-tossed Leaguers racing against collapsing timelines, they channel the powers of magic, the gods, speed, light, and color through devices Molly provided—setting in motion a plan whose full scope remains shrouded in mystery. Written by Bryan Hitch and illustrated by Fernando Pasarin, with inks by Matt Ryan, colors by Brad Anderson, and lettering by Richard Starkings and Comicraft, this pivotal issue features a cover by Pasarin and Ryan.
In "Regroup," the Justice League regroups after a devastating alien assault, using the quiet moments between battles to deepen their understanding of one another—finding strength not just in power, but in trust and shared purpose. As they prepare to face the next wave, the team begins to truly function as a unit, forged in the aftermath of crisis.
In "Timeless, Part 1," Batman and Superman confront a disturbing anomaly at Infinity Corporation, where time itself seems to be unraveling. As the rest of the Justice League faces an assault at the United Nations, they’re pulled through history by the enigmatic Molly, who guides them to pivotal moments in the past—each one now under threat.
In "Timeless, Part 2," Superman pushes forward alone, racing toward the heart of a collapsing timeline as the rest of the Justice League scrambles to contain the chaos. With time unraveling around them, he must confront the source of the temporal bombs before reality itself fractures.
In "Timeless, Part 3," the Justice League fractures as Tempus exploits their vulnerabilities, forcing each hero to confront their own moment of crisis. With time itself unraveling, Superman faces the full weight of Tempus’s design, while Batman receives a startling revelation from Alexis—her secret weapon, just as the timestream begins to collapse around them.
In "Timeless, Part 4," Batman and Jane fight to dismantle Tempus' control over the virtual mind of the Timeless, while the time-displaced members of the Justice League channel the raw energies of magic, the gods, speed, light, and color through devices from Molly—her plan now unfolding with unpredictable force.
In "Timeless, Part 5," Vincent ventures into the fractured timeline of Tempus to warn the scattered Leaguers about the temporal bombs threatening Molly’s power, setting off a chain of urgent actions that bring the team together in the present to shield Lois and Jon from Molly, while Superman moves to dismantle Tempus' central machine.
