Superman and Superman from Earth-D join the Freedom Fighters, parallel Earth versions of General Zod, Doomsday, and Metallo, to help free their world from the tyranny of Vandal Savage, with help from a strange but familiar ally. The Supermen are then rescued by the Justice Alliance of Earth-D, and after rescuing the Justice League's Wonder Woman from Darkseid's world, they travel to find the source of the multidimensional disturbances.
