In the form of a hologram Vandal Savage confronts the team and tells him his destruction of their headquarters is just the start of the misery he has in store for them. J'onn takes off and the team, tentatively thinking of leaving the group, go to one of J'onn's hideout and finds he's been investigating one Üman von Mauler. Thinking J'onn is pretending to be this von Mauler, they decide to play a "joke" on him, which leads to unintended disastrous consequences.
