The Justice Society with their new recruits, including the Legionnaire revealed as a young Mordru, track down the Gentleman Ghost, but inadvertently release the demon Surtur, and Mordru takes drastic measures to help the JSA stop the threat. Despite his actions, the JSA votes to accept Mordru into their ranks, but are met with opposition by the sudden appearance of the Legion of Super-Heroes, who have travelled back in time to apprehend Mordru.
