Justice Society of America #5
In "Only Human," the Justice Society of America faces their latest threat with the combined might of their allies, but the real challenge lies in the quiet aftermath. Back in Gotham, Hourman tends to his son’s illness while Johnny Thunder arrives at the same hospital, bearing news that shakes the JSA: he returned from Bahdnesia to find its people vanished. Written by Len Strazewski and illustrated by Mike Parobeck, with inks by Mike Machlan, Matt Banning, and Jeff Albrecht, and colors by Glenn Whitmore, this 1992 issue delivers a grounded, character-driven moment amid the action. The cover by Mike Parobeck and Mike Machlan captures the weight of that uneasy stillness.
